Introduction

This site provides genealogical information about the Eakin and Losh families.  In general, the site is organized by folders--a folder for each individual in the family.  The title of a folder will usually be the person's full name followed by the year of birth, like this:

Jocephus Eakin born 1752

If we have no idea when the individual was born, we will name the folder with just the person's full name.  More often, if we don't know the year of birth, we will guess, using the word 'circa' whether we think our guess is within a year or two or our guess is only within a quarter century.

Inside the folder what you find will vary greatly.  Once in a great while, there may be absolutely no files within the folder--meaning, that all we know is the what is to be found by the title of the folder (the name and year of birth, for example).  Most of the time you will find one or more files including short word-processing files with a short bio of the person, PDF files with genealogical charts, a few pictures, and (sometimes) a variety of documents such as death certificates or newspaper clippings.  There is no particular order to the files within a folder.  If you have other documents about a given person and would like to see them included, please contact me.
